La ermita de Nuestra Señora de las Angustias de Nerja es un refugio de sentimientos y colores en el que la artista encuentra un oasis de calor humano y cromático. El interior del templo se siente con una luz propia que el vaivén de los tres siglos que lleva en pie no desfigura, sino que enriquece de matices. En esa riqueza aparece el destello que carga de vida al retablo barroco y a sus habitantes, que reconforta con sus palabras a los habitantes y visitantes de Nerja, cualquiera que sea su procedencia.
