MONSTERA II
En esta serie de dos lienzos las artistas nos presentan algo tan sencillo y tan complejo como una monstera deliciosa. Tan complejo como el juego de llenos y vacíos, carpas y pasillos, que crean sus hojas al superponerse. Tan complejo como las velas de las galeras que trajeron hace siglos esta especie del Nuevo Mundo a nuestras costas. Y tan complejo, también, como la degradación de colores que nos traza una biografía verosímil sobre los tallos y hojas de la monstera.
In this series of two canvases the artists presents us with something as simple and as complex as a delicious monstera. As complex as the game of full and empty, tents and corridors, that its leaves create when they overlap. As complex as the sails of the galleys that brought this species from the New World to our shores centuries ago. And as complex, too, as the degradation of colors that traces a plausible biography on the stems and leaves of the monstera.
