FICUS

En esta obra la artista aborda el desafío perenne de la luz mediterránea, obsesión tradicional de la pintura paisajística desde hace siglos. El cielo, despejado, árido, adquiere una vitalidad agobiante. La montaña, refulge haciendo suyo el brillo solar. El ficus, superpone hoja con hoja, mata con mata, para darse cobijo a si mismo, creando la heterogeneidad de sombras y colores con la que la artista sale victoriosa del desafío.

In this artwork the artist addresses the perennial challenge of Mediterranean light, a traditional landscape painting obsession that has been going on for centuries. The sky, clear, arid, acquires an overwhelming vitality. The mountain shines, making the solar brightness its own. The ficus, overlapping leaf with leaf, bush with bush, to shelter itself, creating the heterogeneity of shadows and colors with which the artist emerges victorious from the challenge.
