ROCK IN CALAHONDA

Esta obra utiliza una roca de Calahonda para explorar la luz del mediodía, que pone su foco en mar y tierra por igual. La sencillez de la roca desentona con la historia que le suponemos cuando la vemos encallada en medio de las olas. Las eras geológicas la han sedimentado, desgajado y erosionado hasta dejarla ahí, donde ejercerá de memento mori litológico hasta que el tiempo ejerza su función disolvente; con ella o con nosotros.

This work uses a rock in Calahonda to explore the midday light, which puts its focus on sea and land alike. The simplicity of the rock clashes with the history we assume of it when we see it stranded in the middle of the waves. The geological eras have sedimented, broken up and eroded it until leaving it there, where it will act as a lithological memento mori until time exercises its dissolving function; with it or with us.
